Borndeep Enterprise Ltd is an organisation set up by myself (Jahvin Morgan and Irvine Dossa). Rasons being are as followed. I graduated with a degree in journalism Communications, Irvine in Event Management, upon graduation i realised just how inadequate a black man with a degree in journalism truly is. I’m talented, inspired by my culture and its gratness, and fundamentally rest uneasy whilst viewing the decline of black peoples culture, lifestyle and mental state of mind. Because of this i have set out on a journey to give my black family nothing but the sure nough. As a registered organisation we have embarked on filmed documentaries, cultural events, and more recentley a poetry event entitled Talk 2 Me-May 2008-Bernie Grant Arts Centre-London. Its simple, we aim to inspire, we aim to reinstate this beautiful culture we affectionally call black life, through the arts, through film and journalism. That is who Borndeep is, i can only hope you are as deep as we aspire to be.
TALK 2 ME- To Talk, To Communicate the unspoken, the hidden truths, the one thing we don’t do enough, which is why we at Borndeep believe in nothing but giving the ’sure nough’. Its good to talk-apart from the hidden costs BT got that one right. It resonates freedom, it shows a loved one your desire, or not. it moves beyond the everyday patterned
behaviour, the shallow facades, the fat lips which cant get bit forever, thoughts deserve the justice of the spoken word, when all else fails its all we got, wise words quoted; its what our children listen too, what our parents tell and told, what lovers hold or lavish it upon you like honour unto a beautiful Queen unto her King unto his kin. Talk2 Me, the spoken-the voice of the people, the breath they breathe the echoes they leave. Talk 2 Me, this the essence of Borndeep’s next forthcoming event-May 2008-Bernie Grant Arts Centre, London a night of 25 poets- a few guest speakers-and an opening to take you back to that marker of origin. If the essence of Borndeep is to remain ‘by the people for the family’; we’re going to need 25 poets, so hollering at all those hidden poets, street or just for the beauty of the spoken word, sign up and resonate what’s deep, Borndeep. Send an email to myspace. com/borndeepenterprise or at borndeepenterprise@yahoo. co. uk, leaving contact details, a description of yourself, (you know what that means), a example or two of your words. ALL POETS WANTING TO TAKE PART MUST BE AQUIRED AND COMFIRMED BY NO LATER THAN Friday 26th March 2008, 5pm.
